About us

Energy Radar · Market Intelligence

A Saudi platform for energy-market analysis: prices labelled by source, a daily tension index, and dated forecasts judged in public when their horizon closes. What governs our work is written in these two sections — the regulatory terms, and the method by which we reach a number.

Radare Energy Methodology

How we turn market noise into a decision-grade signal — through accountable transparency, not promises.

Philosophy: three windows, one method

Radare Energy is not a news wire. It is an analysis layer that connects scattered signals into something you can act on, across three complementary windows governed by one strict method:

Tension Index

A single daily composite that summarises market heat — geopolitical, logistical and inventory.

News Analysis

An analytical stream tying every story to its effect on macro, prices and margins.

Track Record

Dated forecasts that are never edited, judged publicly when their horizon closes — hit or miss.

The accountability charter

What sets us apart is not that we are never wrong — it is that we are held to account in public. Every forecast follows strict rules:

  • 1. Every forecast carries a verification criterion published in advance — objectively judgeable.
  • 2. Forecasts are dated and never edited after publication.
  • 3. When the horizon closes: a public verdict — hit, miss, or void (void only if the underlying premise collapsed).
  • 4. Accuracy is computed only from forecasts actually judged, never from open ones.

Data sources and quality

We label every price honestly by its source and quality:

Official

Government prices (EIA): crude, US gas, refined products — published with a lag of several days; we do not print the number of days here because it moves — each figure carries the date of its last reading. These are the reference for judging forecasts: what we are held to is measured on the official print, not the live one.

Indexed

Indexed commodity prices (petrochemicals, metals, global gas) updated daily, with a live tail continuing past the last official print so the chart ends today. Indicative of direction, not benchmark transactions. The polymers reference China and are labelled "(Asia)": the Asian net and the European net are not the same number.

Analytical

Commodities with no spot price (some petrochemicals) — covered analytically until a reference exists. Every series carries a plausibility bound — a figure beyond it means a source fault or a changed unit, not a market move. What we cannot explain is quarantined: PVC quarantined, lithium excluded, the JKM−TTF spread withdrawn.

Equities

Producer equities across eleven countries, delayed about fifteen minutes within a session. Each states whether it is a live price or the previous session close, and change is measured against that close rather than a longer window. Moscow is read directly from the exchange own official interface.
