Terminal
Fujairah
الفجيرة
What it is
An Emirati port on the Gulf of Oman — that is, outside the Strait of Hormuz — and one of the world's largest bunkering and storage hubs.
Why it moves price
Its location is its value: the Abu Dhabi overland crude pipeline terminates here, making it the one outlet that exports Gulf crude without passing Hormuz. Its bunker and product stocks are read as an early indicator of regional demand.
Tension is measured daily, not described
We track thirteen chokepoints and terminals, publish a daily tension score with its components and the reasoning behind each, and tie it to the prices that move with it.
